The beginning of the stained glass windows was from a sermon by Rev. Judson L. Cross in December, 1914, entitled "Our Visions for Rollstone", suggesting that there might be those who would be interested in replacing the sanctuary windows with others more in keeping with the Gothic architecture of the church.
The response was immediate and several members indicated their wishes to have memorial windows installed in memory of loved ones. The first six windows were dedicated on May 21, 1916. They were designed and executed by Spence Bell & Co. of Boston. The memorial window program was completed within the space of 12 years.
The links to the windows shown below are the first in a series of most of the memorial windows which will be completed as soon as the photographs and historical text can be obtained.
Note:The information contained in this program was obtained from the book "Stained Glass Windows" written by former church clerk, Solon B. Wales. Acknowledgements in the book are given to the following persons for their part in its creation.
