On Sunday, May 21, 1916, the following is recorded in the church clerk's record:
Henry L. Sawyer and Mrs. Henry O. Sawyer present this window in memory of Henry O. Sawyer, Mr. Sawyer's father, a member of this church for nearly 10 years.
Henry O. Sawyer was a former mayor of Fitchburg, and a member of the church standing committee for several years.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come to him and eat with him, and he with me.
